The National Archaeological Museum of Naples (MANN) hosts a live site-specific intervention by Argentine artist Francisco Bosoletti, focused on the legendary dive of Partenope. The installation is being executed live in the museum atrium, allowing visitors to observe the creative process in real time.
The artist’s performance runs from 24 March until 3 April 2026, the opening day of the exhibition «Parthenope. The Siren and the City». Bosoletti’s work will be part of an ambitious show featuring more than 250 works from the 8th century BC to contemporary times, with loans from over forty national and international institutions.
This project creates a dialogue between contemporary language and archaeological heritage: the live painting reshapes the myth of Partenope and highlights the museum’s role as an active cultural space.
Watching the artwork take shape offers insight into compositional decisions, color choices and material applications. Visitors are advised to check MANN opening hours and any visitor rules before attending.
The initiative illustrates MANN’s commitment to bridging archaeology and contemporary art, providing an engaging experience that combines heritage appreciation with live artistic practice.
