Press conference in Matera for the M.A.R.K.A.T.O. project

On Friday 17 April at 10:30, at HubOut in Piazza Matteotti, Matera, the press conference presenting the European project M.A.R.K.A.T.O. (Maintaining And Revitalizing Knowledge And Traditional Occupations) will take place. Funded by the Interreg VI-A Greece–Italy 2021–2027 programme, the project aims to safeguard and promote traditional crafts and intangible cultural heritage, enhancing economic sustainability and their integration into the tourism offer.

• Goals: digital tools, training pathways, cultural and tourism promotion to generate opportunities for artisans, businesses and local communities
• Main partners: Chamber of Commerce of Achaia (lead), Municipality of Metsovo, Chamber of Commerce of Zante; Fondazione Matera Basilicata 2019, Distretto Produttivo Puglia Creativa, Municipality of Bisceglie
• Speakers: Maristella Mantuano (communication manager for Interreg Italy–Greece) and representatives of the six partner organisations

The event is a key stage in the project, following initial infodays held recently in both Greece and Italy. Attendance is open to the press and interested public.
