Unibas featured on “Linea Verde Italia” on RaiUno

On Saturday 2 May 2026 at 12:25 on RaiUno, an episode of Linea Verde Italia will air focusing on Potenza and the surrounding territory, with segments dedicated to the University of Basilicata (Unibas).

The program, hosted by Tinto and Monica Caradonna, emphasizes sustainability, the green economy, urban agriculture and innovation. Filming at the Macchia Romana campus showcased university activities and facilities.

Rector Ignazio M. Mancini commented that the appearance is “a valuable opportunity to present the University’s important activities and projects” aligned with the program’s themes. In recent years Unibas has improved its ranking in the UI GreenMetric, placing 16th in Italy in 2025, and has received recognition for infrastructure and territorial projects.

Ongoing initiatives include investments in campus energy efficiency, research projects on environment and energy, participation in national programs such as Tech4You and AGRITECH, and a recent top placement in Southern Italy in a competition for the Territorial Pact for Higher Education.
