Tremonte celebrates: open courtyards and a new local association

The medieval hamlet of Tremonte invites visitors to an afternoon of cultural activities designed to showcase local heritage and support conservation efforts for the historic center.

When: Sunday afternoon, from 2:00 PM.

Program highlights

  • Open courtyards hosting sculpture, painting and collecting displays.
  • Exhibition and awards for a painting and drawing contest involving kindergarten and primary school students (award ceremony in the afternoon).
  • Children’s games and traditional wooden games in a large outdoor area.
  • Refreshment point serving sandwiches, grilled sausages, sweets and drinks to sample local fare.
  • Visits to historic sites: remains of the De Capitani di Hoè signalling tower (10th–11th century), the characteristic bridge and the church of St. Veronica (13th century).
  • Community events including a traditional local game and an evening lottery draw; proceeds will be used for conservation and restoration projects.

A new association for Tremonte

This year’s event also marks the formal establishment of a local association: volunteers who have long promoted and protected Tremonte have organized as a third-sector entity to coordinate cultural initiatives, maintenance work and restoration projects to safeguard the village’s historic assets.

Visitor tips: enjoy a stroll through the historic lanes, join the children’s activities and visit the refreshment area. Detailed programme information is available on the association’s website.

By taking part you directly support local conservation: lottery proceeds and donations will be invested in preserving the hamlet’s built heritage.
