Rovigo opens 2nd National Art Biennale: "Between Volume and Vision"

On Saturday 11 April the second National Art Biennale, titled "Between Volume and Vision", opened in Rovigo at the historic Pescheria Nuova. The exhibition is curated by local artist Giancarlo Gulmini and organized by the Circolo di Rovigo with the patronage of the Veneto Region and the Municipality.

The inauguration attracted a large audience and features 87 artists from 13 Italian regions and 33 provinces, plus two international participants from India and Poland. The opening ceremony included a ribbon-cutting by Mayor Valeria Cittadin, supported by Gulmini and the Circolo president Paolo Avezzù.

A striking symbolic gesture marked the ceremony: the mayor engraved two canvases — one red and one blue — paying homage to Rugby Rovigo’s colors in a nod to Lucio Fontana’s approach, signing the works on the back. Actress Lara Mantovani introduced the speakers and participants.
