Rovereto in Fiore & Portoni Aperti: a weekend of family activities

On May 16 and 17 the historic centre of Rovereto came alive with Rovereto in Fiore & Portoni Aperti, a flower-themed event offering markets, hands-on workshops and activities for all ages.

Organised by the Consorzio Rovereto In Centro and the Distretto San Marco, the event attracted thousands of visitors, with strong participation in the family-oriented programme.

Event highlights

  • Spring market with around 70 stalls along via Roma, Largo Foibe and via Tartarotti;
  • Portoni Aperti in the San Marco district: openings of historic sites hosting workshops, demonstrations, talks and exhibitions;
  • Kids Area offering creative activities, face painting, shows and meet-and-greets with alpacas;
  • Tastings and information sessions showcasing local produce and cultural initiatives.

Practical tips for families

  • Timing: activities were scheduled across two days with varying times by programme;
  • Locations: the historic centre was the event hub, concentrated around via Roma, Largo Foibe, via Tartarotti and the San Marco district;
  • Children's activities: workshops, performances and animal encounters are particularly suitable for young visitors;
  • Tip: arrive early in the morning or later in the afternoon to avoid peak crowds and enjoy activities at a relaxed pace.

The weekend showcased effective collaboration between local businesses, associations and organisers, bringing colour and energy to the city centre and confirming the event's appeal for families.
