Rossano Ferrari in Bagnara di Romagna: art meets industry and technology

From 28 March to 7 April 2026, Rocca Sforzesca in Bagnara di Romagna hosts a solo exhibition that brings together contemporary painting, industrial themes and electrotechnics. The show offers a visual route where energy, science and corporate identity become artistic subjects.

The artist and the concept

The exhibition focuses on painter Rossano Ferrari, whose work converts photographic references and technological motifs into a distinct painterly language. Ferrari examines figures and milestones of electrotechnics using a method blending realism and abstraction — described by the artist as a “double mosaic” technique — and often represents electric energy through a feminine symbolic figure.

Industry and culture in dialogue

Supported by the AME and CEM business group, the project exemplifies how industry can act as a cultural force: not merely a patron, but a partner that creates social value. The opening featured a roundtable with contributions exploring intersections between art, technology and labour.

Key themes

  • Memory and transformation: contemporary art as an interpreter of technological history, not just a preserver.
  • Innovative language: Ferrari’s painting merges photographic traces and painterly processes to generate new meanings.
  • Industry as cultural actor: modern patronage models and public-private collaboration serving the local community.
  • Electricity as symbol: cultural readings that link energy with origins and a feminine archetype.
  • Education and outreach: emphasis on school programs and cross-disciplinary paths connecting science and creativity.
