Over the Easter weekend Venaria Reale expands its visitor program with extended hours, outdoor concerts and nature-centered activities. It’s a perfect chance to combine visits to the baroque interiors with walks through the spring gardens.

Main opening times (approximate):

• Saturday and Easter Sunday: palace rooms open until 20:00;
• Easter Monday: palace open until 19:00;
• Gardens: generally accessible until 19:30.

Live music performances by the Conservatory G. Verdi of Turin are scheduled in the gardens (Easter afternoon and additional sessions on the following day). The tourist train "La Freccia di Diana" runs through the Parco Basso, making it easier to explore the green set pieces.

For refreshments the Garden Patio offers a cafe service with views over the Peschiera; alternatively, visitors can enjoy a traditional Easter Monday picnic in the grounds.

During your visit look out for the water displays of the Fontana del Cervo in the Courtyard of Honour and the Fontana d’Ercole in the Parco Basso. There’s also the option to cycle to the nearby Parco della Mandria for further nature exploration.

Spring activities continue after the Easter weekend. On April 25 the gardens open early at dawn for a program designed to observe nature waking up. The morning event typically includes:

• walks to the Castle of Mandria, plein air painting sessions and sensory visits for families.
