Spring in the WWF Oases of Emilia‑Romagna (25 April - 2 June 2026)

The region's WWF Oases are running a series of activities focused on biodiversity, outdoor wellbeing and environmental awareness. Offerings include guided tours, children's activities, wildlife observation, cleanup events and creative workshops.

Main events

• Giardini Margherita (Bologna) — Sunday 26 April 2026

  Opening of the educational pond and the wild orchid garden. Program: natural drawing contest (15th edition) for children up to 11 years, exhibition "The waterways of Bologna", guided pond tours, screenings of the documentary "WWF Urban Oases of Bologna" (10:30-11:30 and 16:30-17:30) and observation of aquariums, wood collection and nest displays. All activities are free and do not require booking.

• Parco dei Cedri (San Lazzaro di Savena) — Sunday 26 April 2026

  Event "The oases marking WWF Italy's 60 years". Meeting at 09:45 in front of Casa Gialla on Via Canova; interactive walk starts at 10:00 and ends around 11:30. Reservation is required.

• Sea protection oasis (Rimini) — Sunday 3 May 2026

  Beach and sea cleanup day on Viale Ortigara. Meeting at 08:30 at the uphill side of the San Giuliano Mare marina beach; collection begins at 09:00 and ends with material count at 12:00. The activity focuses on coastal protection and debris monitoring.

• Course "Sentieri di carta" (Codigoro) — 19 April to 9 May 2026

  Multi-session writing workshop inspired by the natural spaces of the oasis. Schedule and themes: 19 April (words and emotions after immersion in nature, 14:30), 26 April (wild stories: tales among the trees), 3 May (shared writing session), 9 May (humans and animals; hand-binding workshop). The hand-binding session fee is €10. Venue: via di Ferrara, Codigoro. Check requirements and exact times before attending.
