Pontedera Kids: an afternoon for children and families

On Saturday 23 May 2026, from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM, Pontedera's city centre becomes a lively hub of play and discovery designed for families. Now in its eighth edition and supported by local organisations and sponsors, the event features educational workshops, live entertainment and shows across the main squares.

Activities and workshops

The streets and squares host hands-on experiences where children can learn while having fun. Main activities include:

• Magic Workshop — basic tricks and mini-performances to introduce children to illusionism;
• Little Chemist — safe and simple experiments to spark scientific curiosity;
• Recycling Workshop (Piazza Belfiore) — creative activities focused on the environment and sustainability, with an inflatable play area;
• Paleontology Workshop (Piazza Cavour) — games and activities to explore the prehistoric world;
• Handmade wooden games — interactive challenges to stimulate logic and dexterity;
• Quiz Game and Circus School — group quizzes and physical activities to test skills;
• "Equilibrio" show (Piazza Curtatone e Montanara) — a blend of theatre, circus and comedy for all ages;
• "Miwa Cartoon Band" parade — an animated musical procession with character mascots along Corso Matteotti.
