Easter 2026 in Brescia museums

For Easter 2026 the Fondazione Brescia Musei has arranged a varied programme that brings museum venues to life with extended openings, family activities and events highlighting contemporary art and local heritage.

Programme highlights

  • Special openings on Easter Sunday and Monday, with tailored visiting hours at several sites.
  • Guided tours to explore the masterpieces at the Museo di Santa Giulia and other city collections.
  • Children’s workshops and sensory experiences for families, including an Easter egg hunt in the Museum’s contemporary sculpture park.
  • Educational offers for schools and a Spring Camp for children aged 6–11 during the school break.
  • Contemporary projects, such as Francesco Vezzoli’s installation in the eastern wing of the Capitolium and a photographic work by Bruce Gilden created for Brescia.

  • Spring Camp “Aria di primavera” (2, 3 and 7 April) at Museo di Santa Giulia for children aged 6–11.
  • Tactile session “Reading with hands” for ages 3–5 and a family Easter egg hunt on 4 April.
  • Easter guided visits including “Walking among the masterpieces” and the photographic insight “The world through Bruce Gilden’s eyes”.
  • “PYSANKY” exhibition (9–19 April): about Ukrainian decorated eggs with explanatory panels and a family workshop inspired by traditional pysanky techniques.
  • “Easter with whom you choose” (18 April): an intercultural day at Museo di Santa Giulia featuring cultural mediators, communal activities, music and traditions that bring together Catholic and Orthodox practices.
  • Belvedere 030 at the Castle reopens on 6 April: food area at Piazzale della Locomotiva active from Easter Monday and on subsequent weekends.

The events take place across the Fondazione’s main sites: Museo di Santa Giulia, Parco archeologico di Brescia romana, Pinacoteca Tosio Martinengo, Museo del Risorgimento Leonessa d’Italia, Museo delle armi Luigi Marzoli and the Castle.
