New York — In his first six months leading the Italian Cultural Institute in New York, director Claudio Pagliara highlights tangible achievements in promoting Italian culture: agreements with major institutions, musical initiatives and a literary prize aimed at both emerging and established writers.

Notable collaborations include a partnership with Carnegie Hall for the United States' 250th anniversary programme, where five Italian proposals were accepted, including a summer exhibition dedicated to Enrico Caruso. With the Metropolitan Museum of Art, the Institute created an immersive room for a Raffaello exhibition that uses digital technologies to explore the Villa Farnesina frescoes in detail.

Another flagship project is "SuperBook", a literary prize designed to connect contemporary Italian literature with American audiences: winners from Italy's top awards and authors such as Andrea Bajani and Teresa Ciabatti took part, in events held at the Institute, universities and bookstores, with Italian-language sessions and simultaneous English translation.
