Exhibition 'Here Italy is Made. The Image of the Hero from Bistolfi to Baroni': Easter Guided Visit

The first guided tour of the exhibition "Here Italy is Made. The Image of the Hero from Bistolfi to Baroni" takes place on Sunday, 5 April 2026 at 4:00 PM at the Museo Civico e Gipsoteca Bistolfi in Casale Monferrato. The initiative is the result of cooperation between the city, local associations and foundations, with support from public and private partners.

The exhibition examines how the figure of the hero was represented in Italian art from the early years of the unified nation through the early post‑war period, highlighting a return to classical references and a public, rhetorical style.

  • Featured artists: Leonardo Bistolfi and Eugenio Baroni among others, alongside works by Gaetano Previati, Giuseppe Pellizza da Volpedo, Plinio Nomellini, Libero Andreotti and Eliseo Sala.
  • Works on display: plaster sculptures, bas‑reliefs, drawings and paintings, including numerous pieces from the "Martelli‑Bistolfi 2021/2023" donation restored for the exhibition.
  • Next guided tour: Saturday, 11 April 2026 at 4:00 PM.

Participation and tickets: no booking is required for the guided tour. Ticket prices are:

  • Full: € 8
  • Reduced: € 5 (over‑60s, students aged 16–24, Coop and Touring members)
  • School‑aged children and Museum Pass holders: contribution of € 4 for the guided tour (free admission)
