Anti-Bullying Marathon 2026: Piazza Mastai, the 'Square of Respect'

On 20 and 21 May 2026 Piazza Mastai in Rome will host the national Anti-Bullying Marathon, designed for schools, families and young people. Entrance to the square is free; registration is required for working sessions.

What families and children can expect

  • Interactive areas and workshops: educational gaming zones, 3D experiences and sports demonstrations that promote respect and team skills among children.
  • Science and tech stands: the Italian Space Agency showcases a 3D printer and materials to introduce youth to research and innovation in an engaging way.
  • Online safety: the Postal Police runs talks on safe browsing and responsible internet use.
  • Direct support: an on-site booth with a Blue Box offers a private, free connection to anti-bullying support services.
  • Educational tools: presentation of the 'Bully Buster' app (AI-powered reporting) and the documentary "Beyond the Medal" to be used as a school resource.
  • Institutional and sporting presence: institutional panels, athlete testimonies and demonstrations by the Italian Army and other organizations.

Key schedule: official opening on 20 May at 9:00 with a symbolic philatelic cancellation. Activities continue across both days with workshops, talks and child-friendly sessions.
