The Museum of Contemporary Art of Rome (MACRO) presents its 2026 exhibition program, running from spring through winter with solo exhibitions, research projects and institutional collaborations. Under the artistic direction of Cristiana Perrella, the calendar seeks to broaden international engagement while remaining connected to Rome’s cultural scene.
The program is divided into two main phases: a spring–summer cycle that addresses contemporary themes—such as AI, geopolitics and the overlap between visual arts and literature—and an autumn–winter phase featuring retrospectives, site-specific commissions and new museum commissions.
Alongside exhibitions, MACRO offers a program of talks, performances, screenings and workshops. Institutional partnerships with bodies such as Palazzo delle Esposizioni, Fondazione Bellonci and the Museum of Civilizations help activate shared projects and diversify use of the museum’s spaces, including areas devoted to video, sound and cinema.
Check the museum’s official channels for up-to-date information on opening hours, tickets, guided tours and related events. Individual exhibitions may have different calendars and overlapping dates: verify specific schedules before planning your visit.
