The Il Tricheco Blu Foundation has wrapped up its inaugural year with a family-focused model aimed at turning awareness about neurodiversity into hands-on opportunities. Projects span schools, sports activities and a community space designed to build everyday autonomy for children.
The school program offers teachers, staff and pupils practical tools to manage diversity in the classroom. Offerings include hands-on training, adapted communication methods and teaching strategies aimed at making inclusion part of daily school life.
AcquaCamp brings together neurotypical children and children with autism in a supported summer setting. Educational support is personalized (ratios 1:1 or 1:2) and funded by the foundation, ensuring families can participate under equal financial conditions.
Set to open in the autumn, the Cascina will be a multifunctional space offering workshops, autonomy-building paths and family activities. It aims to be a practical environment where young people develop life skills with specialist support.
The first-year activities were made possible through private funding and backing from an international philanthropic foundation that provides multi-year support. This planning reduces the risk of interruption and promotes a replicable model on a wider scale.
Why consider participating: these initiatives aim to turn coexistence with neurodiversity into a community strength, promoting autonomy, inclusion and well-being for the children involved.
