The cultural association Società del Tarabuso marks thirty years of activity with a public event focused on the Bearded Vulture, a large vulture that has recently re-established in the Piedmont Alps. The evening blends scientific outreach, field reports and nature photography.
This talk is aimed at nature lovers, birdwatchers and anyone interested in conservation: speakers will outline the reintroduction project that brought the Bearded Vulture back to the Alps and present recent monitoring results.
Researcher Maurizio Chiereghin, coordinator of the Bearded Vulture Project for Canavese, Valli di Lanzo and Biellese, will describe the reintroduction phases and fieldwork findings. Photographer Luca Casale will show a curated selection of images taken in Gran Paradiso National Park, providing close-up views of the species in the wild.
With a wingspan approaching 2.8 metres, the Bearded Vulture is one of the most impressive alpine inhabitants. This event offers a chance to learn about conservation efforts and responsible wildlife observation.
Please arrive early: admission is free but seating is limited.
