The Etruscans and the Netherlands: The Corazzi Bronzes A/R

Dates: 1 April – 4 October 2026

The Luigi Rovati Foundation presents a focused exhibition of bronzes from the Corazzi collection, temporarily returned to Italy. The display links archaeological objects with historic volumes to reveal both the material and the interpretative traditions that shaped the collection.

Exhibition route

The underground floor is arranged thematically to discuss artistic production, religious use and the history of collecting. Objects are shown alongside selected early printed works to provide a dual perspective: the artefact itself and its textual reception.

Highlights on display

  • Votive figurines, including the Boy with Goose
  • The figure of the god Laran
  • A small bronze griffin dedicated to Tinia
  • Historic volumes documenting the critical history of the Corazzi collection

Partnerships and aims

The project is produced with national and international partners active in archaeology and museum research. It highlights the contribution of private collections to public heritage and fosters institutional collaboration for the promotion of archaeological culture.

Accessibility and services

  • Video-guide in Italian Sign Language (LIS)
  • Materials for visitors with neurodegenerative conditions
  • Weekly guided tours
  • Scientific catalogue with essays by Italian and international scholars
