National Castle Days 2026: events at Manfredonia Castle
On the weekend of 16 and 17 May 2026, Manfredonia Castle opens its doors for the National Castle Days with a programme focused on the fortress' history and the collections of the National Archaeological Museum of the Gargano.
Why attend
Built between 1256 and 1258 at the behest of King Manfredi and later restored by Charles I of Anjou, the fortress is a significant example of Swabian and Angevin military architecture.
