On the weekend of 21–22 March 2026 the FAI Spring Days return, offering opportunities to visit historic and natural sites across Italy. In Campania, a significant portion of the program focuses on archaeological sites, excavation areas and archaeological parks, including sites that are rarely open to the public.
Visits to archaeological locations may include guided tours, historical introductions and, in some cases, access to excavation areas or restricted zones. Local delegations and trained Young Guides (Apprendisti Ciceroni) help interpret the finds, stratigraphy and historical context for visitors.
These special openings let visitors discover lesser-known archaeological heritage—from ancient settlements to coastal parks and burial grounds—and contribute to local conservation and enhancement efforts carried out by volunteers and institutions.
For the complete list of archaeological sites open in Campania, visiting times and booking instructions visit the official FAI Spring Days website: www.giornatefai.it. The site also notes member-only openings and ways to donate to support heritage projects.
