FAI Spring Days 2026: special visits in the province of Latina

On Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 March 2026 the 34th edition of the FAI Spring Days offers special openings dedicated to historical, artistic and natural heritage in the province of Latina. The programme includes guided tours, tastings and visits to spaces that are often closed to the public, led by young volunteer guides.

Open sites

• Prossedi – historic centre, churches and the Baronial Palace.

  Stroll through the village and visit the small church of Strammetta, San Nicola and Santa Agata. FAI members may access normally restricted areas of the Baronial Palace, where a local wine tasting will also take place. Tours are led by Apprendisti Ciceroni (young guides) from various local schools; tours will be available in Italian, English and Ukrainian.

  Indicative hours: morning and afternoon (check locally for scheduled slots).

• Gaeta – Cosmo Di Russo Farm.

  Visits focus on olive growing and extra virgin olive oil production, with walks among terraced olive groves and explanations of local medieval-rooted traditions. Tastings and gastronomic offers are available for a fee; some activities require reservations.

• Minturno – Masseria Zenobio.

  A 17th-century family farm with an operational oil mill, ancient olive trees and wartime histories. Visits will explain the site's history and the processing of the local itrana olive.

  Opening hours include morning and afternoon sessions with the last admission shortly before closing; participation is not recommended for people with favism.

Practical information

Contribution: access is by voluntary contribution; proceeds support conservation and enhancement of cultural and landscape heritage. In case of high turnout, FAI members have priority entry and membership can be purchased on site.

Young guides: visits are conducted by trained high-school students serving as Apprendisti Ciceroni.
