On Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 March 2026 the FAI Spring Days allow access to places that are often closed to the public: in Lombardy 146 sites will be opened across 59 municipalities. In Milan the program includes historic palaces, institutional buildings, cultural venues and contemporary architecture.
Visits are generally limited in number, so booking is recommended. Practical points:
Visits: Saturday and Sunday 10:00–17:30 (last entry 17:30).
A late-19th-century neorenaissance palace now hosting a fashion school. The visit connects the courtyard and historic decorated rooms with contemporary fashion spaces and the "Future Archives" exhibition tracing nine decades of Italian fashion.
Visits: Saturday and Sunday 10:00–17:00 (last entry 16:30).
Part of the CityLife complex, the tower offers panoramic city views. The open visit grants access to office floors usually closed to the public and shows how modern architecture dialogues with urban space.
Visits: Saturday and Sunday 10:00–17:00 (last entry 17:00).
A monumental 1930s public building featuring a travertine entrance. The itinerary includes the vault, an unused air-raid shelter, the courtyard and the former land registry hall — an important visit before planned renovations.
Visits: Saturday 14:00–17:30; Sunday 10:00–17:30 (last entry 17:30).
Located on the site of the former monastery of San Luca, the institution preserves courtyards, a grand double-ramp staircase and rooms tied to Milan's military and institutional history.
Visits: Saturday and Sunday 10:00–17:30 (last entry 17:30).
Designed by Luca Beltrami in the 1920s, the palace houses representative rooms and inner courtyards normally closed to visitors; the FAI opening allows a rare look at Milan's administrative interiors.
Visits: Saturday and Sunday 10:00–17:00 (last entry 17:30).
A house-museum and cultural centre linked to Emilio Tadini, displaying collections and period rooms, and hosting contemporary cultural activities.
The FAI Spring Days are a chance to rediscover the city’s monuments and lesser-known sites: palaces, courtyards, workshops and institutional spaces opened to the public for a limited weekend.
