April 22 marks Earth Day, a global moment to raise awareness about the environment. For families, it’s an opportunity to turn play into learning: outdoor experiences and workshops help children develop respect for nature and sustainable habits.
Villaggio per la Terra at Villa Borghese: from April 16 to April 19 an outdoor area offers activities, sports and workshops designed for families.
April 22: the main Earth Day events include city-wide initiatives, shows, talks and the #OnePeopleOnePlanet multimedia marathon at the Nuvola in EUR, with streaming available.
Programs for early years and primary school can introduce ideas such as the circular economy, food supply chains and marine pollution through interactive play. Modules on sustainability and renewable energy give children concrete tools to understand their role in protecting the planet.
How to take part: check event times and detailed programs, and book workshops in advance to secure places, especially for school-focused activities and limited-capacity events.
