Feast of Saint Nicholas in Bari: 'Day of the Baresi' on Saturday 9 May

The three-day celebration of Saint Nicholas concludes with a day of religious rites and public events in Bari's old town. After Friday's bad weather, which halted the sea procession and the Frecce Tricolori flypast, Saturday's schedule includes liturgical ceremonies and an evening fireworks show.

• 12:00 - Religious service in Piazza del Ferrarese
• 18:00 - Solemn Concelebration at the Basilica of Saint Nicholas with the collection of the Holy Manna, presided over by the Archbishop of Bari-Bitonto
• 22:00 - Fireworks display on the seafront to officially close the patronal festivities
