Big Eyes International Vision presents the first solo exhibition in Italy by Chinese artist Du Hai Jun (Jiangsu, 1978). Chronicles of the Floating City brings together 32 works—oil paintings on canvas and aluminium, and sculptures—that investigate the contemporary city as a landscape of memory and social ties.

Du Hai Jun is known for the Urban Window and N Windows series, in which windows act as visual devices condensing micro-narratives of solitude and collective traces. For the first time in Europe, the show also includes recent works focused on subways and a new series titled Quando il fumo si dirada (When the Smoke Clears), addressing marks left by conflict and urban devastation.

Through skilled use of oil paint and metallic supports, the artist composes grids and openings that function as metaphors for suspended lives and fragmented cityscapes. The exhibition dialogues with the international atmosphere of the 2026 Venice Art Biennale, proposing an original contribution to debates on urban space.
