Diego Marcon and Bruno Munari at Museo del Novecento

From 9 to 19 April 2026 Museo del Novecento in Milan features new projects for Milano Art Week: salut! hallo! hello! by Diego Marcon will be shown in Sala Fontana, while the FOCUS900 program includes an in-depth presentation dedicated to Bruno Munari.

salut! hallo! hello! (2010) is a MiniDV video (color, sound) lasting 22 minutes and 49 seconds. The work, part of the ACACIA Collection donated to the museum since 2015, opens with a series of postcards that evoke travel imagery: the projection enters into visual dialogue with the Sala Fontana windows and the view over Piazza del Duomo, creating a layered relationship between the moving image and the cityscape.

Diego Marcon is known for a twenty-year practice focused on moving images, marked by rigorous formal control and careful spatial composition. The presentation coincides with Marcon receiving the ACACIA Prize 2026, a program directed by Gemma De Angelis Testa that supports contemporary Italian art and builds a civic collection since 2003.

As part of the museum's renewed displays, the FOCUS900 initiative offers the section Vedere l'aria devoted to Bruno Munari, alongside updates to the Quadreria 900 and Lounge 900 installations.
