Cuneo Montagna Festival 2026: four days focused on the mountains

When: From 14 to 17 May 2026 (off events: 9 and 10 May 2026). Where: Cuneo, various city locations and outdoor venues.

The fourth edition of the Cuneo Montagna Festival highlights the relationship between the city and surrounding mountains, offering a programme for those who enjoy trekking, hiking and outdoor experiences. The festival theme, "boundaries", encourages new perspectives on highland territories.

Main programme

• Talks and conferences: discussions on mountain education, alpine architecture and cross-border initiatives.
• Screenings: previews and tributes to mountain cinema, including recent productions.
• Athlete meetings: testimonies from leading figures in mountain sports and trail running.
• Exhibitions: displays on historic routes and Alpine fortifications in the Maritime Alps.
• Alpine village: Saturday 16 (10:00-18:00) and Sunday 17 (9:30-18:00) on Via Roma — meeting point with associations and mountain operators.
• Shows and performances: stand-up comedy, live podcasts and public performances.

Off events and workshops

Prior to the festival opening there are off events, including the writing workshop "What we talk about when we talk about stories" led by Davide Longo at Casa del Fiume on Saturday 9 (10:00-13:00 and 14:00-18:00) and Sunday 10 May (10:00-13:00). Some workshops require a fee.
