From 14 to 17 May 2026 the city of Cuneo hosts the fourth edition of the Cuneo Mountain Festival, a distributed event that highlights the relationship between urban life and the highlands through activities for hikers, trekkers and outdoor enthusiasts.
The festival blends talks, film screenings, concerts, exhibitions and outdoor experiential activities under the common theme of “boundaries”: encouraging participants to question limits and stereotypes and to discover alpine territories with fresh perspectives.
Ahead of the main festival, on Saturday 9 (10:00–13:00 and 14:00–18:00) and Sunday 10 May (10:00–13:00) La Casa del Fiume will host the writing workshop “What we mean when we talk about stories” led by Davide Longo. The workshop, focusing on mountains and valleys, costs €10.
Organised with municipal and local partners, the festival aims to strengthen the city–mountain connection through practical experiences and discussions on topics such as digital disconnection, landscape and the conservation of alpine fortifications. It’s an invitation to explore trails, listen to stories and take part in outdoor activities designed for nature lovers.
