The National Gallery of Umbria in Perugia hosts "Cinque Strade", an exhibition devoted to Lisetta Carmi that focuses on her shift from a musical career to photography and her innovative, socially engaged perspective.
Curated by Alessandra Mauro, the display gathers 23 photographs representing roughly eighteen years of work: images that explore social themes and portray people and contexts with a direct, empathetic gaze.
The exhibition aims to deepen understanding of Carmi's biography — a former pianist — and the aesthetic choices that shaped her photographic practice. It offers visitors the chance to engage with images that combine social commitment and formal experimentation.
Before visiting, check the National Gallery of Umbria's official channels for any updates to opening times or access rules.
