Cattolica in Fiore 2026: what to see and how to join

From April 30 to May 3, 2026, Cattolica hosts the 54th edition of Cattolica in Fiore, the long-standing flower fair and market. For four days the town centre becomes a large open-air garden with more than 100 exhibitors from across Italy.

The opening ceremony will take place at 10:00 AM on Thursday, April 30 in Piazza Roosevelt, in front of Palazzo Mancini.

• Exhibitors: rare plants, aromatic species and curated floral compositions selected by Italian nurseries.
• Competitions and prizes: awards for best stand arrangements (1st prize €1,000; 2nd €500; 3rd €300) and contests for themed shop windows and menus involving local traders and restaurateurs.
• “Fioriture della Valconca” nature treks: two guided walks on April 30 and May 1 departing from Foce del Conca at 9:30 AM. Paid event by reservation at +39 0541 966621.
• Art and photography: painters and handmade crafts along Via del Risorgimento and Via Matteotti, plus two exhibitions at Palazzo del Turismo: “Scatti da Cattolica nel mondo” (open April 24–May 17, evenings from 18:00) and “Mandala in fiore” (opening April 28; on show until May 10 with varied opening hours).

Throughout the event, shops and restaurants will dress in floral themes: participants are encouraged to post images and videos using #CattolicaInFiore and #CattolicaWelcome. Winners will be announced on the first day of the market by a municipal-appointed jury.

Practical tips: wear comfortable shoes for outdoor routes, check exhibition opening times at Palazzo del Turismo, and book the nature treks in advance if you plan to attend.
