The festival "Canti di Passione – Ce Custi o Gaddho na Cantalisi" continues with its ninth stop on Sunday 29 March in the towns of Martano and Zollino. The event combines devotional singing, guided walks through historic centers and a culinary offering based on Lenten traditions.
Guided walks are held in Italian by regionally certified guides. Participation is free but reservation is mandatory: participants must provide name and surname via WhatsApp.
During the festival, local restaurants offer the Menù della Passione, inspired by Lenten, peasant cuisine: starters, first courses, main dishes, sides and traditional sweets for €25 (drinks excluded). This menu is available from 21 March to 1 April.
"Canti di Passione" highlights the devotional singing tradition and the Grika linguistic island of the Grecìa Salentina: a blend of popular poetry, music and ritual that lives in small historic centers. The festival brings together many towns, artists and cultural operators, offering a direct way to experience local history, sacred places and culinary heritage.
