Brescia Photo Festival – 9th Edition

When: 26–29 March 2026 | Where: Brescia, multiple venues

The ninth edition of the Brescia Photo Festival adopts a city-wide format that brings together institutional museums, independent venues and cultural associations. The program turns urban spaces into a photographic itinerary featuring exhibitions, talks, screenings and book presentations aimed at both the general public and professionals.

Program highlights

A central feature of this edition is the major monographic exhibition dedicated to Bruce Gilden, shown in Italy for the first time and presenting a wide selection of works spanning several decades, including the Faces series (2013-2024). The Pinacoteca Tosio Martinengo will host a site-specific installation titled Grace / Grazia, exploring the relationship between contemporary photography and historical masterpieces.

Over the four days the festival offers:

  • Exhibition openings and guided visits;
  • Talks and conferences with photographers, curators and critics;
  • Screenings, book launches and events for schools and the public;
  • Audio-visual materials and dossiers documenting photographic practices.
