Rose of Nothingness is a site-specific installation by Belu-Simion Fainaru created for the Israel Pavilion in a new space at the Arsenale (the Sala d'Armi). The work repurposes drip-irrigation devices—an agricultural technology—into a poetic structure that highlights water as both a life necessity and a spiritual metaphor.
Fainaru ties the installation to personal and cultural narratives: his Romanian-Jewish origins, Kabbalistic references, and Venice’s aquatic environment. He frames the Biennale as a space for artistic freedom and intercultural exchange, distinct from political conflicts.
Visitors should check the official Biennale schedule for opening hours and access information to the Sala d'Armi. The installation invites reflection on natural resources, cultural memory and the potential for artistic encounters across different communities.
