Arezzo: Alberto Zorzi solo exhibition at Museo Orodautore

Museo Orodautore, housed in the Palazzo della Fraternità on Piazza Grande in Arezzo, presents a solo exhibition dedicated to Alberto Zorzi, a leading figure in contemporary artistic jewelry. The retrospective gathers an extensive selection of works showcasing decades of material and formal experimentation.

What to see

The exhibition displays about 350 works — including jewelry, ornaments and micro-sculptures — created by the artist from 1970 to the present. Highlights include:

  • the gold brooch «La Città - Arezzo», a city-plan concept enclosed in a pentagonal frame;
  • the "Structura" and "Scrittura" series, featuring low-relief surfaces and experimental textures;
  • design projects for Greggio Argenti 1948, such as vases, candelabra and everyday tableware.

Why visit

Zorzi's pieces probe the boundary between jewelry, sculpture and design, combining diverse materials — gold, platinum, silver, copper, steel, ebony and quartz — with incisive, sandblasted and chased finishes. The show appeals both to jewelry professionals and to visitors interested in contemporary design and art.
