Special Opening at Museo Civico della Paglia

The Museo Civico della Paglia in Signa will hold a special opening on Saturday, 29 March, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, giving visitors an extra opportunity to see the exhibition dedicated to Gregorio Prestia.

Curated by Serena Becagli and extended until 13 April due to public interest, the exhibition showcases the artist's production across materials and techniques such as marble, terracotta, plaster and wood.

Highlights

• Works exhibited for the first time, loaned by the artist's family collections.
• An artistic journey addressing sacred themes, portraits, daily life and the world of work.
• Connection with the Signa area: a Prestia sculpture stands at the entrance of the Villaggio Scolastico Artigiano.

Guided tours and booking

On 29 March guided tours will be led by Angelita Benelli, president of the Museo della Paglia and Intreccio Association "Domenico Michelacci". Participation requires mandatory booking via email: [email protected].

The mayor, Giampiero Fossi, notes the special opening responds to strong public interest and aims to make the museum increasingly accessible to the community.
