On Saturday 28 March at 16:30, the Venanzo Crocetti Museum in Rome will host the finissage of the group exhibition "A space of exchanges and connections: Forms of contemporary Japanese art in the Italian peninsula". The program includes a meeting on Japanese poetry followed by the presentation of the exhibition's bilingual catalogue.
Curated by Alberto Dambruoso and Mayumi Miyazawa, the exhibition highlights cultural dialogue between Italy and Japan and features Japanese artists who chose Italy for study and artistic development. The event is organized by the Venanzo Crocetti Foundation with support from the Ministry of Culture and under the patronage of the Italy–Japan Foundation and the Japanese Cultural Institute in Rome.
This appointment is an opportunity to explore Italy–Japan artistic relations through poetry readings, critical conversations and the exhibited works. The bilingual catalogue also provides access to critical essays and artist entries in both languages, useful for scholars, students and art enthusiasts.
Please check the museum's official channels for any access rules or reservation requirements. The event showcases important cultural exchange initiatives and provides a bilingual publication to support deeper engagement with the exhibited works and the artists' practices.
