Museum of Eros opens in Bagheria: 120 works by 42 artists on display

On April 4 at 5:30 PM, Bagheria will host the inauguration of the Piero Montana Museum of Eros, a new museum dedicated to erotic art. The opening presentation features a permanent collection of 120 works by 42 artists from Italy and abroad.

The collection and exhibition

The display includes paintings, drawings, collages, artist books, photography, sculptures and installations focused on erotic themes and the imagery of desire. The exhibition highlights how eroticism has inspired artists across time, from symbolic representations to contemporary and conceptual approaches.

Artists featured include, among others: Michele Allotta, Franco Arena, Filippo Bordonaro, Giuseppe Calderone, Kiki Clienti, Marco Intravaia, Nino Rizzo, representing both local Sicilian voices and international perspectives.
